NOSB wins again

For the second time in three years, the Lincoln-Sudbury National Ocean Science Bowl A-Team recently captured first place at the April 25-27 national competition in Seward, Alaska. The team, led by captains Kevin Linke and Kan Chen, now gets to travel to Costa Rica in mid July for nine days of exploration of the local ocean ecosystem.

Publications honored

At the May 2 New England Scholastic Press Association annual conference, DYAD garnered first place amongst New England yearbooks, and The Forum won second place in the student newspaper category.

Coach Lopez inducted

Lincoln-Sudbury varsity football coach Tom Lopez was inducted into the Massachusetts Football Coaches Hall of Fame on Sunday April 27. With more than 200 wins under his belt, Coach Lopez is one of the most successful athletic coaches in L-S history.

The following teachers received FELS grants this year, which they intend to use for summer travel or to enrich their class curriculum: Nathaniel Armistead, Paul Sarapas, Alison Sanders-Fleming, Brian Cochran, Sarah Flandro, Casey Riley, David Grace, Angela Iandoli.
