A vote for Obama

After enduring two terms of Republican folly, America is in need of change. I, and a majority of Americans, are frankly quite fed up with, among many things, the prominence of special interests in politics, the misguided war effort, and infringement of our civil liberties.
Barack Obama offers the greatest contrast to the current administration in his promise for reform across the board. He is a candidate who we can respect and someone we can admire. He has the ability to restore America’s prestige in the international arena, and to reclaim the faith of its people.
“You know, decades ago, as a community organizer, I learned that the real work of democracy begins far from the closed doors and marbled halls of Washington,” Obama stated in a speech in Texas. Obama recognizes the need to recapture the faith of the American public in a government currently so removed from the people, and he possesses the means to do so. Obama will restore the government as the protector and provider for the people, rather than only for the top 1% of the population.
Obama has inspired both with his words and his actions, motivating millions of Americans to believe in his promise for change. There is nothing more powerful than a unified America, and Obama is the only candidate who can bring our broken country together.
Critics continue to focus on his inexperience, but Obama has proven that “experience” does not necessarily accompany good judgment. Obama has never supported the war in Iraq, which has subsequently indebted our country and killed thousands of innocent civilians and soldiers. Obama has called for a withdrawal of troops, the necessary stimulus for the Iraqi government to take full control of its country. He focuses upon diplomacy in foreign policy, a tactic that would help our country to remedy future conflicts without bloodshed.
Obama has proposed sound solutions to address the problems that mire our country and possesses the charisma, intelligence and strength to propel our country to a better future.
